Big Hat Brunch

Today was it, my nonprofit's 1st Annual Big Hat Brunch! It was at the Screendoor Restaurant in Downtown Dallas. We were expecting 41 and 30 showed! What a blessing. Pictures are forthcoming, but in the meantime, the best part of the day was hearing how the work that we have been doing touched the life of another. I was truly humbled by the in prompt to kudos given by my grant writer who is also a friend. I am so proud of the work that Ashley, Cherri and I have accomplished, because first a foremost it is God's work. Helping others is so deep in my blood, there is no transfusion that will get it out. It's part of my makeup, my DNA. This is how God made me. Although most times I don't have the know how, God does. And just when I don't see how, He shows up. Afterwards, I cried because it, again, amazes me to see God show up.

I want to thank everyone who came, and everyone who has ever supported me through your financial donations, your time, your encouragement, support or kind gestures. They do make a difference.
